Student Responses to Review Topic: Food And Dining

While dining options are scarce on Saint Mary’s campus, there’s food for everyone. As a gluten free student, I can eat full, nutritious meals and even indulge in bagels and toast. If the dining hall doesn’t have food to fit your needs or preferences, employees will buy groceries using your meal plan so you can still get proper nutrition, which is essential for a healthy college experience. However need-friendly our dining hall is, we are still lacking in available hours, locations and taste. Many students have reached out to the administration to hopefully erase this problem.

the food here was mostly inedible to me. as someone who likes fresh vegetables, fruits and home cooking, it was very hard for me to find something palatable on most days. allergens are not clearly demarcated and ingredients are hard to find. many people complain of food poisoning from the dining hall. the on campus cafe can sometimes be a better alternative and we do have an on campus jamba juice which is delicious.

There are few on-campus dining options. The dining hall has a good variety during breakfast, and there is always something vegetarian to eat.

If you're vegan or vegetarian you'll probably starve or live off of salads. If you're an omnivore, you may or may not starve anyway based off of the edibility of the food. Some of it just isn't good.

Sodexo did a wonderful job of feeding my fellow students and I at Oliver. The staff is generally friendly and caring and the food has great variety day-to-day.

Only 1 dining hall, but the food is pretty good for the most part and the made to order omlets, sandwhiches and salads are the best part.

Sadly, Saint Marys doesn't have a Greek Life on campus. There are a couple Sororities and Fraternities off campus, but they are not affiliated with the school. Recently there has been a new club called Gael Sisterhood and Gael Brotherhood which is aimed toward being a type of Greek life on campus, but it is still evolving.
