I am able to buy a cup of ice and fill it up with water for 15 cents. The food is awful so I eat at home or go to a cafe down the street.

I would not try to get food on campus unless it is a last resort, however, there is always good cheap food to be found in the Sacramento and surrounding areas. Farmers Markets are plentiful if you're into a fresh variety of locally grown and available food.

Food and Dining are below average. There is mostly just greasy food in the cafeteria or pre-packed cold lunch that you could have made at home. It is still nice though to have the option occasionally. I just wouldn't count on it for an every day occurrence.

Sacramento City College is pretty much at the center of Sacramento. Its about 5-10 minutes from the Capitol building where there are many different restaurants to choose from. There are also quite a few Mediterranean restaurants and grocery stores in the area.

The Cafeteria (Cafe) is mediocre, They are not the best, but if you're hungry, they would suffice. The Cafe has a burger station, noodle station, sandwich station, pizza station, a tacos and burritos station. Next to the Cafe, there is a Java Cafe, Outside of campus and down the street, there is a Chipotle, Long John Silvers/KFC, A Burger Place, The Sandwhich Spot, The Metropolitan, Togo's, Starbucks, Rubios, Crepe Escape and a Japanese restaurant.

Aside from Java City, I suggest you stay away from the Cafeteria food- it is too pricey. Instead, if you are looking to have a good lunch, walk over to the Sandwich Spot or Metro Espresso that is located North of the Campus.

The food shops are fantastic at Sacramento City College. Whether you're looking for something fast, something hot, something cold, something delicious, or something sweet, they have it. Prices are fair and the customer service is great.

There is one Sorority Honors Society called Phi Theta Kappa. The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta Kappa shall provide opportunity for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence.
