Read MoreI wouldn't recommend Geneseo to prospective students. Chances are, if you're applying to Geneseo, you're (very) strong academically. Shoot for the Ivies, if you could get in. If you don't make it or can't afford it, you may want to look for a college where you could 1) really stand out academically and 2) learn because of your professors, not despite them. Premed majors were weeded out very early on. I was accepted to Vanderbilt, and classmates of mine were accepted to the Ivies. Still, we were happy to have GPAs just above 3.0. I ranked in the top 7% of my class and had strong SATs. I was involved on campus, had some friends and many good acquaintances. Still, I was very disappointed overall with my Geneseo experience.
