Curious about something that isn't answered here? Feel free to ask SUNY Maritime College a question
Rob who is the waterfront director is totally aloof to everything around him. Took a class with him...worst guy ever...if you re not with him he HATES YOU! Disagree with him, his answer to everything is simply "that's bullshit!" Good job Rob way to be a leader. Terrible... Update: Summer 2016 Had a few parents I know from aorund NYC enroll kids in summer camp. Not safe at all. Watefront is using 16 year old camp couslers to teach power boat lessons. Doesn't seem safe when 1 16 year old kid, who is just learning to drive no less, is in charge of a powerboat full of kids at full speed on the long lsland sound. Rob T. Crafa may know (or thinks he knows) "everything" but he is very distant to basic safety concerns. When it comes to "HIS" agenda, stay out of his way if you have a problem. Parents have also stated that when they come to pick-up kids from camp, staff if working on boats VERY VERY nearby. And I am talking about painting bottoms, power washing boats, changing oil etc. I thought this was a camp for kids not a working boat yard with slave labor. I'd think twice before I send my kid there. Also, I have heard that SUNY is building there own IC24 Boats. That's exactly what I want for my kids, to sail a chopped up boat that was built by amature boat builders. BEWARE OF SAFETY AT THIS PALCE.

Read MoreThere are numerous opportunities for students to take advantage of on and off campus. The school is for individuals who have a very good idea of what they want to do in the future. Also, graduates are benefit from an enormous alumni base and most are employed soon after they finish.
Read MoreA great experience both in and out of the classroom. Professors are very helpful and patient. I am very happy to be attending.
Read MoreThis school can be misleading with pertinent information. The curriculum can be frustrating with what is assigned as necessary to be taken compared to what is actually going to be used.
Read MoreCollege has a very good academic program. It's strict and teaches discipline in every aspect of life. Good college all around.
Read MoreVery good school for engineering. Everything is hands on and I wouldn't find any other way to learn better. You can also go abroad during the summer on summer sea term.
Read MoreA bad school to attend. A great school to have attended. Still the best State Maritime Academy.
Read MoreIt is a crappy place to be, but it is a GREAT place to be from. If you complain a lot and don't put effort into things its not the college for you. If you are a hard worker and can handle a lot of responsibility, give it a shot. It really is a good college.
