Rutgers as a whole bang for your buck is a pretty fair assessment. In state tuition is not too high where it is crazy to be paying off student loans if you have to take those out. Also the experience you get from it is unmatched to any other college if done right and to the fullest.

Rutgers is very expensive for what it's worth. The bus system, dining halls, and dorms need updating.

I spent and am spending a lot of money on this school, but I don't think it's worth the price. It is a great school, but it's just so expensive and I have been hit with so many extra costs that I just can't take it anymore

Rutgers gave me the academic rigor and variety of majors I was looking for at a fairly reasonable price. It is definitely a great option for in-state students and while it will be more expensive for those that are from outside New Jersey, it is still a good pick and worth attending.
