If your looking for a challenging school, this school isn't that all challenging. The parties here are okay if you're into EDM. I had to throw my own parties sometimes.

Email professors of prospective classes you plan to take in case you won't be able to register for their class due to a late registration time. Always plan ahead before due dates. Set up an alarm for those early 8:00 classes!

Anyone looking at Ramapo should definitely take a tour, which is offered throughout the year. Even though the campus is arranged in a way that is easy to navigate, it gives the new student a perspective of where everything is, including the layout of the dorms. From a personal standpoint, the tour is what made me want to choose Ramapo, as I felt very comfortable. Another very important thing to know is that during Summer Orientation, be sure to choose a First-Year Seminar class you really think you'll enjoy. I say this because this is the class where the most college experience takes place. Unlike a normal Gen-Ed, you will have Peer Facilitators that help you adjust to campus life by exposing you to activities that help everyone get to know each other. Also, this is a great opportunity to get away from normal classes, and take something you have an interest in.

Honestly listen to current students to go there. As of right now, I would not recommend the college to anyone. Wait until people enjoy Ramapo again before deciding to come here because as of right now it is just not great.

If you're looking for a very small quiet school then you've found it! If people tell you Ramapo is a party school, DO NOT LISTEN. If you even tried to ATTEMPT to look for a party, public safety has already found it and shut it down.
