Read MoreFreshmen always have events going on for them on campus, but once you're a sophomore and up, there is only 1 per semester. As for what you define as fun is completely up to you. If you're up for a party, you better know someone in Oakland because that's a no no downtown. As for things to do if you're bored, Pittsburgh has endless options...it's certainly a fun place to explore.
Read MoreThis is probably the best thing about Point Park University. Living in a city as vibrant as Pittsburgh never stops being exciting. The city has dozens of events pretty much every week. Students have free access to the Carnegie museums and The Mattress Factory too! If you search, there is always something going on! It is hard to get bored, especially as a freshman :)

Read MoreAttending class downtown certainly opens up the door for many different activities over the school year. For instance, in winter there is ice skating available in the PPG place around the Christmas tree put up for the holiday season. However, in the summer months you can go down to the Point where the Three Rivers come together and enough a wonderful park near the water. In your free time between classes there is a Student Activities building that has a gym, a pool, dance classes, pool tables, foosball tables, ping-pong, ect. which available to all students any time they want!
Read MoreBeing in downtown Pittsburgh, there is a lot to do for fun. Point Park is located right near the cultural district so there are always options to go see shows. Also within walking distance is the home locations for the Pirates, Steelers, and the Penguins!

Read MoreThere are occasional sports events and campus activities but in general people leave this campus and go into more exciting areas of the city, Oakland or Shadyside, and onto the campuses of other schools in the city. Downtown and the majority of its establishments shut down around five o'clock. The true cultural center is where all the other colleges are in this city.
