Be yourself and just trust that you will end up where you're supposed to be. If you come here, just find your people and stay with them. In a big city, it's easy to feel lonely.
Read MoreDon't be overthrown by the vast array of equipment and rooms that they show. Half of these are just to reel you in. It won't be until your junior or senior year until you get to use them. Think about the major you're pursuing, and if they have the best of the best, then go! If they don't, and you've already dealt with equipment, rooms, or anything similar, then try another place.
Read MoreKnow your finances. Be prepared to have quite a few out-of-pocket costs for many of the programs, especially photography/photojournalism and the visual arts. Be open to new people, fun people, LOUD people.
Read MoreIf you really have your heart set, give it a shot. I wasn't 100% sold on it to start with so I'm not surprised it wasn't the best fit. However, please be aware that the dining and health services are honestly awful and I've found it very hard to get answers from anyone about anything. Also not sure where our tuition is going, because a good amount of things in the place are busted.
