Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is a renowned tertiary care center, a level I trauma center (the region's only such center for adults and children), a teaching hospital and a medical school (with the first Humanities Department in the Nation), where one quaint campus provides all the necessary resources for students to learn humanistic medicine, alongside specializing physicians, with mentors who teach beyond the books and ahead of the curve. Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is a renowned tertiary care center, a level I trauma center (the region's only such center for adults and children), a teaching hospital and a medical school (with the first Humanities Department in the Nation), where one quaint campus provides all the necessary resources for students to learn humanistic medicine, alongside specializing physicians, with mentors who teach beyond the books and ahead of the curve. A serendipitous geographical equilibrium, between proximity to major metropolitan areas and rural land available for development, probably helped land Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center among the 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare. In my five years as a student researcher, I was most astonished by the facility's enthusiasm for their work, and their willingness to teach.
