Create an account now!La Junta is a really small town, so there isn't much to do here. Most people just drink and smoke weed. There's a pool at the high school that's free for the college students, there's a movie theater, a bowling alley, and that's about it. If you're into video games, you'll probably play a lot of those here just out of sheer boredom. Be advised though, if you are going to go out into town, definitely don't walk around by yourself at night. La Junta might be small, but it's definitely not the safest place in the world. La Junta is only an hour away from Pueblo, so there's a lot of gang and drug cartel activity in this area. Just be smart. Stay by the college at night, and you'll be safe.

Read MoreLa Junta is an extremely small town, but we still find ways to have fun. Otero Junior College does an amazing job at hosting many events such as dances, holiday parties, intramural sports and even school wide competitions. After a long day of studying and practices, it is nice to lounge in the dorm lobbies and watch a movie on the flat screen or play an intense match of pool or ping pong with fellow students. We may be a small school but we students undoubtedly make this a very fun environment.
