Create an account now!Ohio University gained the reputation of a party school because there aren't a lot of options for traditional, free, entertainment. Court street is where most Ohio University students go for fun, where its hanging with friends at the bars or testing out the local pizza shops. Sororities and fraternities tend to host events every week, organizations host fairs, areas to hang out, shows, and occasionally the University hosts events to see movies for free. Our movie theater is only five dollars and there is a bowling alley within walking distance.
Read MoreCourt Street is a major place to hang out. There is a small movie theater, shops, restaurants, and bar all along it and there is plenty to do. Something is usually always going on on campus as well, there are plenty of clubs, sports events, and productions by the theater department (which is Top Ten in the country). Keep an eye out for emails, posters, and other things on campus that tell you what's happening. Most things are free for students or very inexpensive.

Aside of that, there are plenty of performances and concerts that I love to attend from the schools of theater, dance, music, art+design, the performing arts series, put on by various small businesses on campus, or just put on by students.

Read MoreExploring the surrounding nature is always a top option, because it opens up a lot of opportunities for fun. Parties, especially at HallOUween and during the spring, are always ways to enjoy yourself, but there are plenty of clubs and groups to join if that is not interesting to you. Check out the local shops uptown, or the two movie theaters nearby, one of which is an independent cinema, for more entertainment.
