They mentioned they loved diversity in extra-circulars, and I imagine that they also look for good test scores as well as a good GPA & recommendations.

If I had not visited the campus I believe that I might have made a different decision. Also, make sure that Oxy offers majors that will serve your interests!
Read MoreGet involved! It is a small school and getting involved helps you get to know a lot of people. The academics are great and you really should get to know your professors, and they will reciprocate. Sometimes the teaching is very biased (it is an extremely liberal school), so be prepared to hold strong in your opinions if it feels like people are shutting you down.
