The music scene is very vibrant and there are always concerts going on, every day, every on a weekday. Also, because Oberlin is filled with grassy areas all around the campus, most students like to chill outside while listening to music and hang out with their friends.

Read MoreLike I said earlier, there are always different events going on that are totally awesome. With the conservatory, there are always concerts (student or professional) which are pretty cool, there are plays, dance showcases, the Allen art museum or student art exhibits, movies at the Apollo (only two at a time though), there are some nice bike trails, walking around the arboretum, etc. There is the Sco which is a room with a stage in the basement of Wilder (the student union building) that hosts concerts pretty frequently and every Wednesday it's Splitchers there which is basically a version of a party (music, dancing, alcohol if you so choose, etc.) which is pretty popular especially when you really need a break from work. There are also parties on the weekend, but the venues can be anything from someone's house with just music, somewhere with a live student band playing, in a storage unit/art exhibit space, and so on. There is a decent amount of drinking and smoking (cigarettes and weed), but from my experience, you do not have to engage in anything that you do not want to, I have never met anyone who will pressure you into drinking or smoking if you do not wish to. Overall, I'm really happy with the social life, there's really stuff for everyone here.
Read MoreThe 'Sco' is bar/ dancehall/ concert hall. It's the central social point on campus. Theater and classical music productions occur fairly regularly during the semester. You otherwise create your own fun with your peers.

Read MoreGo to open mic nights, Oberlin has some really cool artists that are just amazing. Go bowling with a group of friends, it is fun just make sure you don't hit anyone with a bowling ball (I accidentally dropped a bowling ball). If you like to go out and party, go and have fun- drink responsibly. Go to different lectures, sometimes you can see if you like a professor before attending one of their classes. Go to Ginko's Art gallery and pet a few kittens. Go to Slow Train and eat a spinach, pepperoni, or turkey and herb croissant with a friend and do some homework. Keep your eyes open for events by clubs and organizations on campus like Drag Ball, Speed Dating, Fashion Shows, and much more.
