If you like a community based school where you can get to know everyone in your class, including establishing close connections with your professors, this is the place for you. Class sizes are relatively small, and many are interactive and discussion based. Everyone is really into all kinds of music and so Oberlin is a great place to share your taste in music with your friends. Visiting the city and going shopping on a daily basis is a bit difficult because Oberlin is right in the middle of a cornfield, but the school offers shuttles to nearby malls and shops.

Conservative views are generally looked down upon. This is neither a good or bad thing, it is just a warning because some people might feel uncomfortable at a campus that leans one way instead of remaining neutral.
