Great for these types of students students who love small towns. good for shy students who have a hard time speaking with people.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus okay so there is this train tracks beside the campus and we always say that it wait for us to be dismissed for lunch.
Bang for the buck it's pretty cheep with good teachers.
What to do for fun nothing really "on campus" to do but we do have several hiking trails, parks, etc.
Food and Dining several fast food places around the campus, dinners. just depends on how long you get for lunch.
Tips for prospective students befriend your professors, talk with them. if you are having trouble in classes speak with them.
In three sentences a great small town college with teachers who care. the community around the school is a good one. and the campus is very same.

Categories Comments Campus Safety There always seems to be a campus officer around. The campus is always well lite.
Great for these types of students Great for students that don't like over whelming numbers of students to be around. Great for older students wanting to go back to school.
Bang for the buck I feel like for the money this is an excellent 2-year college.
Food and Dining Great.
Dorm Life I have never lived in a dorm. But I have not heard of any complaints.
Tips for prospective students NWSCC is a wonderful college to attend to get yourself started in college. There a very friendly down to earth people there that want to see their students succeed.
In three sentences NWSCC is a great school to attend especially for older students like me who haven't been to school in a long time. The admission's office is very helpful in registering for classes. The teaching faculty are very good at helping to get acquainted to the school atmosphere again. They have class scheduling in the afternoons and online classes that are very convenient for a working mother like myself.

Categories Comments Tips for prospective students I would advise going to Northwest Shoals in Muscle Shoals, because it is a good way to get your basics out of the way before having to transfer to a more expensive college. They do offer many great options over at Northwest Shoals, and will just about work with you on anything that you need. Just stop by the campus and tour it.

Categories Comments Great for these types of students Trade skills, first year college students, older students wanting to go back to college.
Bang for the buck Great education for a much lower tuition than the four year institutions close in the area.
What to do for fun Music, art, community activities
Food and Dining Without a doubt, this is the only negative for your campus. I would love to see a food area or place to sit and eat lunch established on our campus.
Academic Rigor NWSCC is an excellent choice to begin the college experience. I recommend taking your basics and using the two years to decide on a 4 year degree.
Tips for prospective students Meet your instructors and get involved. Even though this is a community campus, make your face known.
In three sentences NWSCC is an excellent place to begin your college experience. The administration as well as the professors are very student oriented and helpful. The math lab is an excellent resource for students.

Categories Comments Campus Safety Super safe campus. The kind of campus you could leave your car doors unlocked and the windows down. I have never seen a fight or serous incident on campus.
Greek Life None..
Clubs and Activities Phi Theta Kappa, SGA, Intramural Sports, Toyland, Spring Fling, Halloween festivities, Jail-Break, Blood drives, symposiums, concerts, pageants, and more.
Great for these types of students Students who prefer small schools, friendly/helpful teachers, and students who have children or jobs that don't have a lot of extra time.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus None that I know of.
Bang for the buck I enjoy going to this school immensely, but I have different tastes in education than the average college student.
What to do for fun Their are hiking trails, pool tables, ping-pong tables, and other little activities for students to do while passing the time. Their is an annual Spring Fling and an annual production of Toyland, The state recently cut sports from the school but there are still gyms and a tennis court.
Food and Dining There is a cafeteria that is catered by a local restaurant. They make an effort to offer a variety of choices, but it is still pretty limited. The town does not offer many choices either. They basically have two small diners and a grocery store.
Dorm Life There are no dorms at my campus.
Academic Rigor The teachers are not real bad about asking students to feat impossible tasks. The typically do not ask the student to do more than what is required to understand the subject being taught.
Tips for prospective students The best tip I have for any student is be organized. Organization has changed my life. I encourage everyone to make lists, schedules, and plans. Another tip, try not to miss class or get behind.
In three sentences The campus that I attend is located in a small community of less than 3000 people. The teachers are friendly and enjoy helping students get the most out of their education. The school lacks a variety of organizations and activities, but makes an effort to get students involved.
