Read MoreNKU is close to many other small towns and Cincinnati. There are plenty of things to do around the city like the zoo, bowling, or shopping. Many festivals go on in Cincinnati and at Newport on the Levy. Instead of just having fun there are also plenty of opportunities to serve the community and the wonderful people who live here.

I joined the Catholic Newman Center, and in less than three days of being a member, I was on my way with the others to see Pope Francis in Pennsylvania. There are sports to watch, concerts to attend, and the cities of Newport and Cincy are just a drive away.

Read MoreThere are free concerts every Thursday night in Newport which is about 10 mins away. They have a hypnotist that comes twice a year, movies, comedians, and a lot of other performers that come. It is a performing arts school, there is always someone putting on a show.
