Make an in-person visit before making any firm decisions(obviously). Tour the campus, talk to professors and get a feel for the programs you're interested in. Even better, talk to current students and hear their honest opinions and experiences. Special events to attend are MVNYou days and Break-Away(spend the night in the dorms). Seek out scholarships and financial aid. Take the time to truly count the cost and make sure you are able to cover all expenses, including books, food, etc., without taking out an excessive amount of loans(That is exactly why I am writing this review!).

Try not to be overwhelmed by the rule book and emphasis on the rights of the community over the individual. Make sure you visit and talk to current students before you decide to attend. And please READ the rule book so you know what you are getting into. This is a great college, but not a good fit for every personality.

It is a relatively smaller campus. If you are interested, keep in mind that it is a Christian university and they have strict rules accordingly. You are required to attend a certain amount of chapel sessions each semester and if you don't meet them, you do get a fine of $20 per session missed. Do not buy books from the Cougar Corner Bookstore. They are way too expensive. You can get better deals anywhere else

Bring a mini fridge its nice to have in the dorm and apartment. Be prepared to learn and learn a lot. Know the motto To seek to learn, is to seek to serve. Be prepared to answer the tough questions. Look at other sites for books than the book store and check Ohiolink!
