In-state student it is pretty affordable. For out of state friends it is relatively expensive but if you do your research and still like what MSU has to offer you will enjoy it here. Be warned it is cold (it's in Montana so it does snow at least every few days in the winter with strong winds and gets below zero quite often) but if you get a warm enough winter coat the cold isn't that big of a hurtle.

  • I am accepted here and planning to attend soon

the in-state tuition is flat, so no increase for junior and senior students, and the out of state can be cheaper than the in-state for some (i'm thinking of california in this case). with the wue (western undergraduate exchange), this drops tuition for those in the west us even more. overall, lots of options, and tends to be on the cheaper side for what it offers.
