There are definitely many teachers who make their classes worth while, however, the general student population, as well as atmosphere, are not too in tune to the learning aspect of college. Obviously this partly depends on which major is taken, but overall, there aren't many brilliant minds to push against to better yourself.

I personally believe MCC to be a great junior-college for those who aren't ready for a 4 year uni yet, or for adults who are returning back to school to earn their degree. No matter how "un-traditional" your situation is, I think that MCC is the best place for you.
Read Moremonroe community college is a good school if you are only interested in math, science, and technical trades. their humanities courses are hit or miss, so it seems best to avoid them all together if you are planning on transferring to another college. i would take classes with many of my past professors over and over again--because i liked them so much--, though.

There's isn't much to do on campus because not very many people live there though it does have some decent clubs. Getting to and from classes is pretty easy and people are generally very helpful and friendly.
