    If you plan on attending, throw self consciousness out the window. MSU is so welcoming. Everyone I have talked to has been so kind and respectful. Its really easy to find your niche and make friends.

    Live in the dorms if you are a local student. Get to class early and pick out your seat, that'll remain your seat for the rest of the semester. Get Bearbucks and use the printer money. Don't have a job your first semester, you'll miss out on a lot of vital moments as a freshman.

    Try to get involved from the minute you get there. There are tons of events going on and they help so much with meeting people and getting to know the university. I would also recommend attending URSA as another way to meet a lot of people. Also figure out how the bearline works because it helps a ton if you have downtown classes.
