Read MoreThere is always some sort of free event going on on campus. Also, the quad is always open to lounge on and there is a small sand volleyball pit that people occasionally use. The musicals put on at Millikin are always amazing, I definitely recommend going to those! There is a park and a lake close by campus, which are fun to visit with friends on sunny days.
Read MoreIt's a 45 min drive to both Springfield and Bloomington/Normal. Both have large campuses within them, so larger-scale malls are there, but also Forsyth offers a mall and small shopping area (10-15 min away).

Read MoreThere are a bunch of clubs you can be involved with. As a commuter, however, I find that it's pretty difficult for me to get involved because all of the clubs meet at 7 PM or later. Millikin isn't really near anything else, so you have to find ways to have fun on campus.
Read MoreThere's lots of things in walking distance from campus to do, you can talk a walk through the very beautiful fairview park, go to Donnie's for live music on weekends, or simply hang out with your friends on the quad.
Read MoreStudents have to be creative with this one. You can always find something fun to do and that not only applies to millikin, but life in general. There's the game room, dorm lounges, movie nights with friends, UCB events, parties, etc!
Read MoreDecatur is a small town, but it packs a big punch. The school is minutes away from Downtown Decatur, which is a primarily small business square. There are various restaurants and boutiques. The campus often hosts free events to students: concerts, ice skating, game nights, movie nights, etc.to keep the students entertained. It's a great way to meet new people without traveling too far.
