if you're considering applying to this school, you want a larger portfolio, or you want to get a thorough impression of massart's campus, consider attending the summer studios program. you attend 3 different core classes (2d, 3d, and a sort of "art history" class that also talks about the meaning behind artwork) and an elective of your choice. it's a lot of work, especially if you apply for massart course credits, but it's very fun if you like art, and makes you feel like a real art school student.

Your Massart experience is what you make of it. Some people choose to be really lazy and create poorly done sloppy work. Others choose create things that are very delicately planned out and well thought of. This is a place for people who have the passion and the drive to make work that's better than they've ever made before.
