My daughter is graduating from Marist today. While she has been a successful student, we’ve struggled with the administration for the past four years. Our daughter has experienced discriminatory behavior from faculty members that were not addressed by the administration despite our repeated efforts to bring it to their attention. When our daughter’s roommate dumped the kitchen garbage in the dorm bathtub and posted a violent YouTube video depicting the stabbing of a head of cabbage with a kitchen knife, the administration’s response was to suggest she move rather than intervene with mental health counseling for her roommate. And today, on the final day at the college, we watch our daughter graduate on a video screen indoors because the administration decided to continue with an outdoor processional despite advance weather forecasts of 100\% chance of rain. Lots of frustrated and disappointed families watching from indoors. Marist, get your act together!

Read MoreMarist was the only school I saw where I could have the "full college experience" and take part in a highly successful and accredited Fashion Program. I am so glad I chose to attend, as I have found it possible to take on two majors, a Division I sport, and make many friends in the process. This is an exceptional school.
