all students are required to take a religion class. however do not let this deter you, they offer courses in buddhism, hinduism, christianity, catholocism, judaism, and many more that i cannot remember. this allows you to broaden your scope about the types of religions that people practice. another tip is to get ready for stairs. the campus appears flat, but it is actually inclining about 7 stories. you don't realize it because the stairs are spaced out, but if you're in a rush you are definitely going to feel every one of the stairs.

Visit the campus and do the tour. I went to the engineering building after the tour and luckily a professor noticed I was a prospective student. He walked me through the offices in the building (the tour didn't go to the engineering building) and later introduced me to a junior of the major I was interested in. The junior talked about the clubs she joined, internships and even contact info in case I needed it. Trust me, the professors are all kind and want to help you out.

It is easier being a resident student than a commuter (so if you are from one of the 5 boroughs deff try to dorm here) 100% a bar school so if you are planning on coming here to party, get a fake ID. The professors here will help you with whatever you need and are always ready to talk to you. The work load is heavy at times, so be prepared to do a lot more than you are used to. You don't have to go in decided on a major!!! Do what you love and not what other people are expecting you to do.
