most of the dorms are pretty good and many have suite style layouts.…
Dorming is amazing! Meeting new people who share ideas with you is fun. Sometimes this is not always the case, some students have roommates they dislike. Make sure this is…
while many people like living in the quads, i prefer to live in post, tompkins, williston hall and hamblin. …
Instead of pouring money into Alumni Hall, Knox College should focus on the current living situations of CURRENT students which they are always quick to ignore. My dorm actually had…
It is easy to get become close friends with your suite mates. Everybody there is friendly. The beds are comfortable, there is a lot of space, and you have plenty…
So many choices!
Read MoreIt does get bland over time. But we get used to it. The cafe is used to getting suggestions for food and they do try to accommodate students.
Read MoreThe cafeteria food is good, and the Gizmo is also really good. As a small school, we may not have as much of a large menu, but the food is delicious and we love it. There are restaurants in town that deliver to the school or aren't that far away to walk.
Read MoreThe caf just got remodeled this year. The college is dedicated to making sure every diet has options to suit their needs. I can always find something to eat on campus. The meal plans are super reasonable and I even end up having extra meal swipes at the end of term. I've never gone hungry.
Read MoreWe just had our cafe renovated to fit more people!
Read MoreThere is always something that you can find to eat. Dining services tries to have a variety of options for people with dietary restrictions.
Read MoreI would say that the food could be better. I think that the company who works here is really the problem. They are getting better at labeling and providing a variety of dishes.
Read MoreThe food here can be very good. No matter what there is to eat you're always going to find something to eat. Plus the desert is always good.
Read MoreThe food is pretty average, sometimes there are a lot of options in the caf, sometimes there aren't. I think it's really a matter of luck
Read MoreThe food is not the best. We just got a new dining service and they're still working on getting the cafe to where it should be. Right now, there aren't a lot of options, but there are always student comment cards and they take them pretty seriously. So if you're unhappy with something, you can change it. There are lots of dining options on campus, which is nice, and the Gizmo is the best place ever, still. So that hasn't changed.
Read MoreI love Greek Life here !!!
Read More25 percent of campus is greek life, it's not too present on campus and no pressure to join or not to join!
Read MoreThere are five frats and four sororities that you can join.
Read MoreI wasn't planning on joining Greek life in college. In fact, I was actively looking for colleges that didn't have Greek organizations on campus. But when I came to Knox, I completely fell in love with the organizations on campus. Greek life is my favorite part of my life on campus. It has given me so many opportunities for leadership and my sisters encourage me to grow and try things on campus that I never would have otherwise. That being said, if you're not interested in Greek life, it doesn't dominate the social scene. I have lots of friends who aren't in Greek organizations and they don't feel like they're missing out on anything. It's there if you want it, but if you're not interested nobody will judge you. And there is absolutely no hazing.
Read MoreI believe about 25% of the whole campus actually participates in Greek life. It is not as prevalent on campus as it might be at a big school. I would definitely recommend it, it is also a great way to get involved with philanthropy and community service.
Read MoreI believe there are 6 fraternities and 4 sororities. Greek life is huge if you're in it, it's not huge if you're not in it.
Read MoreGREEK LIFE is AWESOME!! I'm not just saying that because I'm in Greek Life, but because it is. It's not a popularity thing at all. We have deferred recruitment, which means recruitment doesn't happen until Winter Term, so everyone has to establish their roots before they can go through. Everyone in greek life is friends with people outside of greek life, and friends with people in other fraternities and sororities. It's not a popularity contest, and it's not a status symbol. It's a support system and a way of gaining leadership and doing community service. To me, my sisters are a home away from home.
Read MoreGreek Life is a good way to meet people on campus. They often host open events, registered parties, and do volunteer work.
Read MoreThere is a very active Greek life if that is something you are interested in, but there is no pressure to join and everyone is very welcome at Greek houses.
Read MoreAbout a quarter of Knox students are involved in fraternities and sororities. There are 6 fraternities and 4 sororities on campus. They are very integrated into the rest of campus- all Greeks also have friends who are non-Greek and vise versa. The sororities do not live in their houses, which makes them even more integrated! All events that are sponsored by a fraternity or sorority are open to the entire campus and range from themed parties to philanthropic fundraisers.
