Our mission at Jacksonville University is to prepare each student for life-long success in learning, achieving, leading, and serving.
We accomplish this mission in a small, comprehensive, independent university community located within a vibrant metropolitan setting. The University serves an ethnically and geographically diverse, predominantly undergraduate student body, as well as adult learners in selected undergraduate and graduate programs.
The Jacksonville University learning community provides personalized service, close student-faculty interaction and an extensive array of educational and co-curricular programs. Our learning experience emphasizes engaged learning, the integration of thinking with doing, and the combination of professional preparation with a strong liberal arts foundation.
Everyone here seems to be pretty nice. Campus activities and the different clubs, sororities, and fraternities here always have some event planned. The campus is pretty nice and I just overall really like it here.
Read MoreI love my professors they're entertaining and they care about students. Being in honors and nursing gave me an in with a lot of different people so I have made a whole bunch of new friends. The campus is gorgeous it does not even look like Jacksonville here and it's small enough to walk across in ten minutes but big enough that you have plenty of places to go and hang out without even having to leave campus.
Read MoreJU is a smaller campus and with it being a smaller campus it is easy to get to know peers as well as staff. There are many international students, clubs, and organizations I believe that JU is a well rounded university. And I have made life long friends
Read MoreJU is a great campus for an atmosphere of studying. There are plenty of benches in the gardens and even a spot down at the river that students can peacefully study at. The campus also has plenty of things to do if you are a student with free time. There is a campus theatre, gym for working out, gymnasium for playing sports, basketball courts, swimming pool, baseball/softball field, volleyball nets, an art museum, music lounge, and a football field. There are clubs and groups that students can join for extra fun as well. For example, the Rowing Team and the Inner Varsity Bible Study group. Not only this, but JU also of course has concerts, game days, musicals and plays that JU students can attend for free. It's a wonderful active campus that students will never get bored at.
