Around Town

We sometimes went to other campuses and hung out with the other sports teams there (I am a swimmer). Sometimes we went driving to some places like the swinging bridge in Estherville and got pizza after. We'd also watch movies at the other teammates dorms or play some games.

My friends and I will often go to movies or rent movies from the local movie rental store or redox. On the weekends we sometimes drive to Sioux falls or other big towns about 2hrs away for shopping trips. Sometimes events are held by the college like movie nights, holiday activities,etc. There are a few clubs created for you major. If you are a religious there is a Laker Life Church program that is held every Thursday. They often sponsors events and takes there members on mission trips and other activities.

Iowa Lakes offers many different groups and clubs. They also have their sports teams.

Estherville is a small town but there are tons of things to do. Many of us go to the park and play frolf. The school also puts on activities almost weekly so there is always something to do.

There is a wellness center where you can swim and workout for a discount. It is a very nice facility. The town also has a lake and a movie theatre that students can get a discount for.

most students go the the bowling alley, bars, drive-in in superior, the movie theatre, ice-fishing, regular fishing around the surrounding lakes, enjoy winter games in january and the clay county fair in september.

it's a small town, so there isn't a lot to do for fun, but you make the best of it. sports and working out are two things that i enjoyed doing. also, you can hang with friends and etc.

there is not much to do in estherville besides hanging out with friends.
