Categories Comments Campus Safety Ehh, I would not depend on the aged security to even walk me to my car. They're really nice though
Clubs and Activities There's really not enough time to get involved with too much. You tend to see the same people running for officer positions for every club because they don't have enough people.
Great for these types of students Preferably ones who aren't studying 24/7...there are plenty already and they stress everyone out.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus Third year end of finals party at the RC. You can ask the security to open the gym even after hours.
Bang for the buck Tuition is insane for optometry school, but at least it's been a great experience.
What to do for fun Chicago is a great place for food and bar-hopping. You should never be studying on weekend nights.
Food and Dining Avoid the TC cafe at all costs
Dorm Life The RC is great, I miss living next to my classmates already
Academic Rigor It will be tough, just tame your expectations. So many pre-health gunners, but the average test scores hover around B/B+
Tips for prospective students Don't be shy to approach professors, they took a lower salary to teach because they genuinely want to.
In three sentences It's an amazing experience with unbeatable clinical education. There is, however, a lot of administrative issues due to the size of the class. Chicago is also a great city to live in.
