Most of the dorms are very nice. I love that freshmen aren't secluded in their own residence halls. Instead, all of the class years are mixed together and it gives…
Almost every dorm is enviable. Hamilton takes care of the dorms really well, and whether you end up on the old-style Light Side or the 60's concrete block Dark Side…
Great dorms, especially for upperclassmen.…
All of the buildings are amazing. Some dorms are located in these old-fashioned ornate stone buildings, and others are in these spacious modern block ones. The campus is a mish…
The food is well-rounded but pretty bland. Lack of seasoning make this area a little lackluster but Hamilton tries its best to cater to everyone with three dining halls on campus and a pub! I am vegetarian so for all of you who don't eat meat, there is a place for you!
Read MoreThe dining hall is beautiful and the food is very diverse. They have a very sensible meal plan.
Read MoreHaven't had it but people who have tell me it's delicious.
Read MoreI've never been unsatisfied by the options in the dining hall. The dining hall staff offers a lot of variety in meals and they rarely serve the same food multiple times a semester (except pizza, salad, etc.). The dining hall staff are also extremely helpful when it comes to navigating dietary restrictions and/or preferences.
Read MoreWe have a number of eating options on campus, and as a picky eater I have always found great options. The diner has been one of my favorite places to eat at Hamilton. Theres nothing better than classic diner food after a long week, it also serves breakfast from 12am-4am on the weekends.
Read MoreThere are many options for dining on campus. Our two dining halls, Commons and McEwen, provide food to all 1800 students. The Howard Diner offers another option for classic diner food like hamburgers and chicken tenders. For lunch, the Little Pub offers a nice atmosphere for those looking for a change. One of their most popular dishes is the TCB -- turkey cranberry bacon sandwich! Our two coffee shops on campus, Opus I and II, offer vegetarian lunches throughout the week, and coffee too!
Read MoreThe food gets monotonous sometimes but Hamilton does a great job of spreading out food options.
Read MoreHamilton has two on-campus dining halls that offer a wide variety of options through Bon Appetit. We also have a pub on campus that serves lunch during the week and seems to be especially popular among the sports teams. In addition, there is a diner on campus that is open fairly late during the weekdays and serves breakfast into the wee hours of the night on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Read MoreHamilton has greek life but it is not that active on campus. They are not allowed to have their own houses and everyone must love on campus so they do throw parties but all on campus.
Read MoreHamilton does offer Greek Life but only about 20% of females and 30% of males participate so it by no means dominates the social scene. If you're looking for a close knit group of friends and are interested in joining a Greek society, go for it! If not, you can still have a close knit group of friends, no big deal!. Greek organizations are only as much a part of your Hamilton experience as you choose to make them.
Read MoreGreek Life exists at Hamilton but we don't have Greek housing (we don't have any sort of group affiliated housing for that matter) and it does not dominate our social scene like it does at many other schools. Sorority and fraternity members are extremely involved in the Hamilton community and represent a wide spectrum of the student body as a whole.
Read MoreWhile roughly 20-30% of both genders participate in Greek life, it isn't exclusive. There is no Greek housing on campus, so the societies act more like clubs in the sense that they need to request social spaces like everyone else. They bring a different dynamic to the weekend social scene, but their gatherings must be all-campus, so everyone is always welcome. Overall, it is easy to get involved, but you don't have to if Greek life isn't your cup of tea.
Read MoreGreek life is okay, but relatively quiet
Read Morepresent, but not a dominating force at all.
