Having lived in a dorm where I could shut my own door to my room, I had a different experience than most. However, it was amazing. The Ra's at GVSU…
Very fun dorm life, nice dorms, people are nice. Watch out for vandals in freshman dorms, though. If someone doesn't come forward, everyone will have to be billed.…
I did not live in a dorm freshman year. I lived in the laker village apartments and it was amazing! Upstairs and downstairs, 2 bedrooms for 4 people and a…
meet the girls who will be in your wedding party. meet your husband. meet the best friends of your life. you will have so many fun experiences together and hilarious…
freshman dorms are the best part about college at many universities. grand valley does a good job of orientating students and encouraging them to get out of their dorm…
The food choices are much more abundant than seen at other schools, and all seem to be great choices.
Read MoreSo many food options! Where do I begin? My favorite is the Panda Express in Kirkhof, but the line can get pretty long. There's also many places to get coffee or tea, like Starbucks, Argo, or Einstein Bros. Delicious!
Read Moretypical college food, w/ lot's of choices around campus.
Read MoreWas not a fan of the food and dining. Started out with a 14 a week meal plan my first semester, it dwindled to 40 meals my second and third semesters and now I do not have a meal plan at all. I prefer healthy options and there did not seem to be much of that for me. Also there are not enough places to eat based on the number of students so waiting in line can be a long process.
Read MoreCampus food is campus food. It's not a home cooked meal but it's not terrible either.
Read MoreQuality differs, but for the most part it is very good. There is a wide range of food options within walking distance. However, if you consider yourself dependent enough to do so, I would suggest not getting a meal plan and buying your own food at Meijer. You save a lot of money!
Read MoreAs I've mentioned, their options when it comes to food are lacking a bit. Sandwiches will probably become your best friend, considering how many sandwich lines there are.
Read MoreThere are many options for dining on campus, and the food is of pretty good quality for college. And as of the 2014-2015 academic year, the university is continuing to add dining options to the campus.

Read MoreThere are sororities and fraternities. I am not much into the greek life, but everywhere around campus I see people advertising to join!
Read MoreNot involved.
Read MoreGreek Life is a big organization on campus but tends to be quite expensive.
Read MoreI am actually apart of the Greek life here at GVSU, we have a completely different type of Greek Life compared to other schools. All of our Frats and Sororities must have above a 2.5 gpa no exceptions, an individual can most definitely be kicked out for not having high enough grades. Our greek life for the most part is filled with classy and wonderfully well rounded individuals.
Read MoreHaven't heard anything negative
Read MoreSo many opportunities! The people are always so welcoming so just check it out for yourself!
Read MoreGreat greek life. I'm not personally in it but I have only heard good things.
Read MoreThere's lots of opportunites to join a sorority or fraternity. There's a Greek Life night where you can check it all out too.
Read MoreGrand Valley has many Fraternities and Sororities.
Read MoreNot very big. There are no official Greek houses at the school
