    #1) If you plan on transferring to a major university take general courses at GCC they will transfer almost anywhere! #2) Don't wait to enroll, as soon as your financial aid clears you can charge your books to your account (as a side note: none of my books were more than $150, one was $14.00. Amazing!!) #3) Look into Study abroad they have a partnership with the U of Wisconsin, and you can travel to Scotland!

    Be prepared for tough winters, but at the same time it's winter that offers many fun opportunities since the school has its own ski hill. The local area is great for outdoor activities and cost of living is low with many amenities and shopping not far away. Go there with an open mind and plan a trip to Lake Superior located just 12 miles from campus.
