Florida memorial is an 4 year HBCU that's located in Miami gardens. This is my first year as a college student. Faculty and staff members are very friendly and helpful. It was scary moving from home to living on campus but my first semester is over and it was a good experience. I'm looking forward to spring semester. My grades are very good. I'm actually almost on the deans list. Although they need minor changes to get kids active in the school. I made the right choice on coming here.

Make sure you know what you want out of a college or university before you make your decision. Florida Memorial is an HBCU so make sure you are ready for the events that take place around campus. Take a chance and visit this campus to get a feel for it, but also make sure that you visit other universities as well. Never be fooled by what the person that's showing you around campus tells you, always remember that there are two sides to a story and that they will tell you only what they want you to know.
