Student Responses to Review Topic: Food And Dining

If you can get a kitchen for your first year, use it. The dining hall has limited options, and the food is often frozen and bland. It's difficult to get food in the evenings and on weekends, since the cafeteria closes extremely early and there are no other options for using your meal plan. They really aren't good about making meals available to people with a number of different schedules. The meal plan is really the only bad thing about this school, so if you can afford it by making your own food, that's the best option.

No choices especially for anyone with any sort of diet that has restrictions. Kind of terrible if you have any allergies. I don't recommend but it is convenient to get coffee during class.

Literally the worst, the meal plan is grossly limited, and also just gross. People who live in apartment-style suites (Alumni and Kaufman halls) do not automatically get a meal plan, which is really more a blessing than anything; it's NYC, so there's plenty of options.

There is one sorority and one fraternity. Greek life isn't huge here, so if that's important to you, better to look elsewhere.
