    * Look around the area before applying, make sure it's the type of area you'd like to live in. Not too deep in the city, not very rural by any means. * Look into your intended major(s) before applying. You can see all of the requirements online and will know exactly what you're going into. * Contact some of the facility! They're all very pleasant and would love to give you an inside look into their department.

Be social. Many people on campus are involved and the dozens of clubs give you plenty of opportunities. Explore. Don't be afraid to try out new things and study new subjects.

Make sure to visit the campus multiple times and ask all questions even if they may seem silly or you think you know the answer. Talk to students on campus to get a feel for what a day in the life of a student is like on the actual campus. Explore the surrounding area and see how the city feels to you; this way you know what to expect in the following year(s) and know if the college is a good match. Also explore the classes available to you; Emmanuel has many classes as well as ones that are transferable credits from other schools. Take a day to audit classes. This will allow you to see what a class at Emmanuel will truly be like and help you to understand what is expected. Be prepared to get involved. Being involved as much as possible allows you to meet new people and explore option you may not have known existed.
