Student Responses to Review Topic: Food And Dining

Etown's food and dining options are truly great for being a school's food. There are 3 options for food/drinks at Etown. The larger dining room offers a variety of different meals every day. There is always pizza, a build your own sandwich grill station, a build your own pasta station, waffle bars, and a variety of desserts. Some days the have build your own stir-fry, etc. Being a vegetarian, they had many options for me. There was always a main food offered everyday, but I also could use the salad bar/waffle bar whenever. They offer meat substitutes such as veggie burgers and grilled "Chick'n". Everything was clearly labeled which is great for us vegetarians/vegans. There's a fast food store as well, and they have possibly the best sushi I've ever had. It's made fresh every day and you can get it made to order if you're there when the sushi chef is there. The coffee shop, blue bean is top notch as well.

There is a good variety of foods in the main cafeteria. It is open 11 or 12 hours a day, and has a salad bar, grill, sandwich station, and other hot foods that cycle on a schedule that you can see online. Other smaller food options, with a grill, sushi, salad, and snacks, is open from 7am to midnight on weekdays, and noon to midnight on weekends. There is also a food truck available outside the main building after midnight on the weekends.

A lot of different food options in the marketplace but not many different places to eat.

Some things at dining are absolutely amazing, while others are bland. Still, I have never had anything that made me feel disgusted or sick. You kind of have to learn what is the really good stuff. Look around and you will learn where the good stuff is- pierogies, carrot cake, lemon bars, man and cheese, and ribs are heavenly.

On-campus options are very limiting and don't have variety so it gets boring. The quality of the food varies and can be pretty bad.

The food is all pretty good, especially for college food, but it tends to get a little repetitive as the semester goes on. There are 3 meal locations on campus; the main cafeteria, which has many options like a pasta station, grill, and a deli as well as a main hot food line, a smaller place where you can take food to go or sit down to eat, and a caf© for mostly breakfast foods like coffee and muffins. Thereâs also a food truck that comes to sporting events. Overall, most students eat in the main cafeteria.

No Greek life. We do have traditional homes for groups of like-minded students to arrange to live together in, but this is far from a sorority or fraternity. The closest we have to a frat is the palace which is a house which the boys from lacrosse often live in after freshman year. They do host parties, but as far as i know do not exclude other teams or homes from entering.

There is no greek life at Etown, but I dont think that anyone misses it because there are enough other activities to be a part of.
