I absolutely love Eastern Oregon University. I'm so glad that I went to this school instead of the one other that I was considering. I get lots of 1-1 attention from the teachers, I have found lots of friends and places to meet them, the music programs are great and the campus is beautiful. I don't like leaving La Grande to go home for visits anymore. It's my home now.
Read MoreLaGrande is a small town much like the one I grew up in, and it really is beautiful - has all four seasons, though I will admit the winter is longer than in other places. Since it is a smaller school, you can be a semi-big fish in this school and get to know your professors really well - all of mine are on a first name basis with me. The student body is diverse, but not overwhelmingly so. Overall, I love it.

The small close campus allows you to be able to get to know your fellow classmates, there is a large variety of clubs, the entire school supports the sports teams, and the professors strive to make the classes fun and educational.

Eastern Student Entertainment is always coming up with activities to do on the weekend, and the events are fun and different. Orientation made the transition from high school to college fun, and painless, while teaching me a lot about the university. The different residence halls are unique, and the people in them are diverse, and make the campus the place to be.
