My biggest tip for incoming students would be to get to know the people around you. Making friends is one of the biggest factors in surviving the college life because not only will you have companions on the journey to success with you, but you may also have coworkers or even a boss within those people. Make sure to stay active, so you can keep up the mental stability you need to succeed and to have more energy going through the day. Another really good tip for anyone is to get involved with the community around you, this could be joining a club or talking with your professors and teachers about opportunities you can be taking advantage of.

If you can, try to get into a Living Learning Community. Most of them are located in the best dorms on campus, Gateway, and all you have to do to get in is write a short essay. Also, there are so many resources available to you for "free". Make the most of it and use what you can. Do everything as early as possible.
