Each class I have taken has taught me a little bit about myself. College is so much about self discovery and that is one of the great qualities of DMACC. Not only am I learning about myself, my likes and dislikes, and who I am as a person, I am learning so much about each of the subjects I am taking. Even if a class does not directly relate to my area of study I can always take some part of it to apply to my major. This school does a great job of crossover education.

best affordable option with small classroom sizes and teachers that are, for the most part, enthusiastic about teaching and care about your learning. urban campus has a very diverse and welcoming student body, highly contrasting the ankeny campus, which has more of the stereotypical "college" feel to it. i've never had a bad experience at either one - but i prefer urban more, because of how colorful it is, and how willing classmates are to help one another, and equally hardworking.

Read MoreAs long as you do the work it is not a difficult course load. So far I have only had to write one essay, less than two pages long, and I'm 2 months in taking four class. The vast majority of work outside of class has just been reading over material, most of which is gone over in class anyway
Read MoreDMACC has a small quiet campus that is easily accessible for new students to find. There is not much to do on campus but it is growing with new clubs opening up for a variety of interests. Over all I would recommend DMACC to anyone in the area but not enough there to draw in students from out of town.
