Pay attention to signs for quiet/study areas. Use the resources DCCC offers, you might not have those options at other schools. Science program is amazing.

This school has a good transfer program. The faculty isn't particularly impressive, you have some who taught at local high schools who have retired and some who have their PhD in their subject, but either way none are outstanding. It's a very safe campus and the student body is small and familiar.

DCCC offers First-Year mentors to help you navigate the campus. If you enroll, get a career/counseling advisor as soon as possible. Do not worry if you don't know what you want to do yet--they can help you in many other areas as well. Septa offers many routes to the college all the way from Philly Airport, making public transport an option if you don't have a car. If you would like to be involved in campus activities, community service, and job prospects, DCCC has multiple clubs and organizations such as Phi Theta Kappa, the Latin Flavor Club, and Creative Writing, just to name a few. Bulletin boards are frequently posted with employers seeking students to work in the area, and recruiters hold career fairs several times throughout semesters.

The biggest tip I can give is to ask teachers for help whenever you are confused about anything. Don't be afraid to ask questions or visit teachers during their office times between classes. Also, the counselors are very helpful as well. I was having some trouble with an online English class and one of the counselors helped me by going over my essays with me before I submitted it.
