The thing I really have enjoyed about Cuesta is having the same people in my classes the past three years. As a recreation major, the recreation program is all run by one professor. So she teaches all of the classes and the people who have majored in recreation have become extremely close friends and most of us are transferring to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo together, which I think can be said for a lot of the programs at Cuesta.

Even with the increasing tuition costs, the level of attention students get from their instructors is well worth it. Most professors have PhDs and are actively working in the field they're teaching, so classes are lively and full of spirit for the subject. I'd be willing to bet that the level of academic excellence is comparable to any university out there.

Most people get the class fee waived which saves around $1,000 every year, and that is a HUGE help. It is still pretty expensive having to buy your books, and especially living in San Luis, but nothing compared to a university.
