Read MoreThe thing I really have enjoyed about Cuesta is having the same people in my classes the past three years. As a recreation major, the recreation program is all run by one professor. So she teaches all of the classes and the people who have majored in recreation have become extremely close friends and most of us are transferring to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo together, which I think can be said for a lot of the programs at Cuesta.

Most professors have PhDs and are actively working in the field they're teaching, so classes are lively and full of spirit for the subject. I'd be willing to bet that the level of academic excellence is comparable to any university out there.
