Read MoreThere are endless opportunities for fun on and around campus. If you need a break from campus all you have to do is walk across the street to El Chorro Regional park and there are all sorts of trails you can hike/run to do in your free time. If you have an hour or two in between classes I would recommend going out to Morro Bay which is about 7 miles North to hangout at the beach and maybe catch a wave or two.
Read MoreIf you like the outdoors there are tons of beautiful hiking trails in the area. Students are able to enjoy the coast at the favorite local beaches Avila Beach and Pirates Cove. Outdoor concerts are often held across the street from the beach by the golf course. Pismo Dunes are not far for those who like to go four wheeling or dirt biking. Thursday nights in downtown San Luis Obispo there is the farmers market which is a very popular hang out spot for college students and there is also one held Friday nights at Avila Beach. Events are constantly going on in San Luis Obispo County for anyone to go checkout and have a good time.

Cuesta itself has a number of clubs to join and there's always something going on around the campus. The newly renovated performing arts center is a miraculous sight and it's definitely something you don't want to miss out on.
