cuesta college is located only 15 minutes from the beach, which allows surfers and general beach goers to save time when heading to the coast

I am one of the working students who doesn't have much time for college activities. I did take a lot of personal interest/enrichment classes and they were all great.

Located right by the beach. Lots of surf, beach parties and lounging in awesome weather. There are parties, a good downtown for 21+, lots of good bands come to SLO or avila beach nearby. Thursday night farmers market. Lots of hiking!!!!

San Luis Obispo has a lot of options to do things and so do the surrounding towns, lots of life.

They have sporting teams

There are endless opportunities for fun on and around campus. If you need a break from campus all you have to do is walk across the street to El Chorro Regional park and there are all sorts of trails you can hike/run to do in your free time. If you have an hour or two in between classes I would recommend going out to Morro Bay which is about 7 miles North to hangout at the beach and maybe catch a wave or two.

If you like the outdoors there are tons of beautiful hiking trails in the area. Students are able to enjoy the coast at the favorite local beaches Avila Beach and Pirates Cove. Outdoor concerts are often held across the street from the beach by the golf course. Pismo Dunes are not far for those who like to go four wheeling or dirt biking. Thursday nights in downtown San Luis Obispo there is the farmers market which is a very popular hang out spot for college students and there is also one held Friday nights at Avila Beach. Events are constantly going on in San Luis Obispo County for anyone to go checkout and have a good time.

SLO is certainly a college town, so there are no shortage of bars, clubs, and hangouts downtown. Shopping is also in abundance and the beach is only 10 minutes away. Cuesta itself has a number of clubs to join and there's always something going on around the campus. The newly renovated performing arts center is a miraculous sight and it's definitely something you don't want to miss out on.

San Luis Obispo is a nice little city with a downtown of shops and lots of restaurants. The beach is nearby in all directions! Hiking options are plently.
