I must say to all prospective students, full out you fafsa as early as you can so that financial aid can have all your information. Also register for classes early so you can get the best classes. The lines at the bookstore can be very long, I suggest getting your books either before the semester starts or later in the day when classes start. Be prepared to write; sometimes lectures can be long and boring but I must stress please, please take notes because most professors tests come from their notes.

Get there early, parking is hard to find especially if you're going earlier than 1pm.

Get there early so you can find parking, preferably in lot 7 which is closest to wherever you need to be. Ask your friends or go on to check out your professors so that you know what you are getting yourself into (also, remember to keep an open mind because reviews don't always provide an accurate representation). Take advantage of the Tutoring Center (Demare Hall Room 156). As an employee there for two years, I know that it can be one of the most positively influential places on campus for many students. With so many professors and peer tutors available, it is a shame how empty it can be at times, but it allows for people that know about this fact to use it to their advantage for longer private tutoring.
