I couldn't imagine a better setting for an education. It's beautiful, the buildings are varied in architecture and are all quite unique, my dorm is amazing, my friends are amazing, and I love my classes and major!

The campus is beyond beautiful. There are nature trails aplenty to walk on if you're feeling the stress of school. There's a lake called Beebe Lake right in the center of campus with a beautiful, quiet trail around it. I've found that taking a walk around the lake after a stressful day of school makes me feel much better. Besides nature, the school is very easy to acclimate too. There are over 800 clubs so finding a niche for yourself is much easier than at a smaller liberal arts school. Cornell has a very accepting environment and people from all backgrounds are welcome here. I have never felt more at home at a school!

Even coming from out of state, the university will prove to be your second home. Keep in mind, the university is 4 hours from NYC, so you won't be seeing the stature of liberty outside of your window. People in and around the university are extremely friendly. Besides academics, there are numerous clubs, organizations, fraternities/sororities, employment opportunities, and outdoor adventures to experience. While in Ithaca, you really do experience the four seasons; prepare yourself for cold, snowy, windy winters with lots of clothing layers. Once you brave the storm, you appreciate the sunshine and gorgeous landscape that is Ithaca.
