Around Town

For fun, I recommend going for a walk in the downtown area and viewing the amazing buildings and special locations.

The student center has many options along with going into different departments and being creative. I.E. If you are a music major you can go into the music building and make music! You're also downtown so you are close to many places to go eat etc.

You can join a club that you are interested in, or participate in various events held in the dormitory.

Take the L to new places!

Go out and explore the city! There is so much to do, and lots of the nearby museums have free days, the park is also nearby. Find a great group of friends and just go out to explore, you will find something to do or a place to eat at that is awesome.

I really got a chance to explore the city and see what Chicago was all about. For my specific major, Musical Theatre, I really got To experience the theatre life around the town to see what it’s like to do what I want to do in Chicago. I was privileged to see many shows and was very inspired. I am very proud and honored to even go to school in Downtown Chicago and do theater in one of the most popular cities to do theatre

There are also events happening and students are made aware of them because of the bulletin boards on every floor across campus. There's always exhibitions in the galleries and interesting organizations/alliances to join.

A lot of on-campus events. A lot of entertainment as well. Nice food places to try something new.

For fun I like to help with other people who are needing it.

Literally anything. There's comedy shows every few months, and plenty of other events you can attend put on by a huge array of artists.
