Different dorms have different standards. Murray and Greene can be messy, Voorhees is palatial, and Armstrong-Douglas is for freshmen and (generally) more athletic types.…
The dorm life at Coe really depends on which dorm you decide to live in. Coe is a 4-year residential campus, which means that everyone typically stays on weekends and…
You are forced to live in dorms for at least your first two years, and they are not the greatest places to live. There is only one kitchen in…
Buffet Style! Plenty of options which is great, sometimes the menu gets slightly repetitive but overall, I'm being fed well.
Read MoreCoe has so many options, theres always pasta and pizza, plus a sandwich bar thats just like subway, so if you dont like whats on the menu for the day you can get something you like no matter what. Plus the carbonation in the soda is amazing, just like McDonalds.
Read MoreThe food here is pretty good in both of our two food options. Students can either get food from the Cafeteria, lovingly nicknamed the Caf, or the PUB which is Coe's alternate food choice. The PUB offers quick food options from burgers and fries to cheese quesadilla and parfaits. The Caf and the Pub both have vegetarian options and allergy friendly meals.
Read MoreThey are continually trying to make their food better in every way possible. The staff is very friendly and they will be accommodating if you ask.
Read Morethere is so many options in the cafeteria and the campus even has a pub. food sometimes can get old but every place can.
Read MoreI haven't been on campus yet, so I'll give it an average score for now.
Read MoreThe food is decent at its best. They recently redid much of the cafeteria set-up recently, so there has been some improvement. They now offer a deli station set up very much like a SubWay.
Read MoreThe caf gets very gross after a while. My main complaint, besides food quality and lack of options, is that it has very inconvenient hours. I have missed many meals due to my work schedule that I will never be compensated for. Coe's alternative dining option, the Pub, has your typical greasy fare. I wish they had fresher and healthier options, as it is a nice place to eat/study if you are in a hurry or don't want to eat with a group.
Read MoreThere is a wide range of food, and it is easy for vegetarians and vegans to have plenty of options. Occasionally the food will be sub-par, but there's always plenty to eat. Also, the cafeteria staff are very friendly, and some make an effort to learn every student's name.
Read MoreEXPENSIVE I'm low income and cannot afford it but I hear good things.
Read MoreGreek life is pretty big on campus, and theres always events going on to support Greek life and the charities they associate with.
Read Morethere are lots of sororities and fraternities. there is wings for each sorority and fraternity in the all girls and all boys dorms.
Read MoreVery welcoming and doesn't haze in the least. Go through recruitment to meet people!
Read MoreI am apart of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority at Coe College and it is the best decision I have ever made. I think Greek Life at Coe is the shining star of the community. Greek life enhances me everyday providing me with leadership skills, social skills, and philanthropic service to name a few. People involved in Greek Life at Coe College tend to have a higher GPA across campus and constantly give back to the Cedar Rapids community. I would highly recommend at least trying it out, there is an organization for everyone at Coe.
Read MoreDecent. Most organizations are based on cliques within the middle-school-like community of Coe, but there are some with better reputations.
Read MoreGreek Life is alive and well at Coe. I went through formal recruitment for sororities this year, and while I decided not to join any of the sororities, it was still a great experience. It's an awesome way to meet people and I would recommend that all new students go through rush.
Read MoreI don't know what it means by Greek Life. If it's about Sororities and Fraternities I'm not joining any of those.
