Coe has an event committee that plans events constantly, there is free movies, bowling, ice skating, gust speakers, magicians, and so much more. We just got a swing set, and hammocks. Plus its Cedar Rapids so theres a small mall and downtown right around the corner. If all else fails theres always hanging and playing games in dorm rooms.

The Student Activities Committee, or SAC holds some sort of fun activity almost every weekend from skiing, to musical performances, to concerts at the US Cellular Center down the street. There is always something to do on campus.

Hangout with friends on the quad or the coffee shop. Or go to the school sponsored events on campus and around the city.

Coe is not a large school, so the amount of clubs offered is not vary numerous, but there is something for everyone. The Cedar Rapids public library is a large and beautiful facility and about a twenty minute walk off campus.

The college has a group which is responsible for bringing in big names in entertainment, from pop bands to slam poet duos. There are weekly speakers that come in from different colleges and universities to give science and English department talks each week. There are at least five things to do each week.

Go through recruitment for sororities or fraternities. You can get into a lot of social events through them. There is shopping nearby as well as movie theaters. There is a lot to do if you are looking!

Coe is great in the activities offered on campus. There are late night movies some Friday nights for free, there is a campus variety show every few weeks where you can do anything for five minutes and not be judged, and those are just the regular activities. Campus constantly has a variety of activities throughout the year to keep your weekends busy.
