Central Michigan is a fun, pretty, and large university and it is the only university that i know of, where freshman can bring their cars also all students get into the sporting events for free. mount pleasant has a night club within walking distance of campus, a nice well groomed disc-golf course that is free, a huge city park that includes the chip river and nature trails and a close knit community that come and enjoy the university's fitness center that may be the best in the state for college students. the university has student activities most nights during the week as well as weekends, overall it is a nice place for a good education and a good time.
Read MoreI was reluctant to attend CMU at first, but the longer I'm here the more I enjoy the atmosphere of Mt. Pleasant. It i a small town, but people are friendly and I'm getting an excellent education.
Read MoreI enjoy the teachers and the fact that no matter where I go on campus there's easy access to EVERYTHING. Plus the walks to building to building are not all that bad. Look at it this way, you can plus your music in and get some exercise while you filter your thoughts or review material for your next class.
Read MoreI am from Mt. Pleasant so CMU is not very far from home. I enjoying my time here, but it is different for me! I live at home so I am not necessarily getting the college experience, but that has nothing to do with Central!
Read MoreI love CMU, the people here are so friendly. Especially on North Campus (but I'm bias!) The only thing I really don't enjoy is the Honors Program. I joined because I thought it would be nice to be a part of a community committed to learning over partying. What I don't like about it is the huge amount of requirements, because of a project required in my HON100 class (a REQUIRED class for all Honors freshmen) called my Personal Development Project I don't have any time to join student organizations. I'm too busy doing activities and attending events I don't really want to be a part of or am passionate for. Other than that though, I love CMU, it's a cute place!
