    my tip would be to research the college. knowing what kind of environment the campus is in and what the college has to offer is a very helpful tool in making your final decision and can give you a picture of how the college experience will affect you and will shape you as a person. for me, i learned that canisius offered an accounting program that was one of the best throughout the state. knowing that i wanted to go into a field that consisted of mathematics, i thought canisius would give me the best opportunity for me to be successful in my field.

    Make sure to apply for financial aid and scholarships as soon as possible to get the most money you can. Also, make sure to weigh the pros and cons of living on campus or at home because I am a commuter and it is not easy to do, especially during the winter.
