GO TO CLASS, don't skip. It may seem like a great idea, but its not. Don't go home every weekend, because if you do if will be boring for you. Get out of your comfort zone and make friends, do crazy things ( not too crazy) and just have fun while you are here. Always ask for help if you need it. Don't wait until the last minute because it will be to late at that point.

Do not be afraid to get involved and take action. The college experience is what each individual makes of it. Join clubs, volunteer, and do not be afraid to ask questions. Professors are willing and able to give the extra attention and help. Without asking questions, students would not be as successful and efficient.

For a prospective student, one thing that I'd stress would be is that you have to want to help yourself to get help. By that, I mean that any help you may need is accessible, but only if you're willing to go to a teacher or to tutoring and ask for the help that you want. I stress this because, even though the teachers want to help, they don't necessarily have the time to go to all of their students and ask them if they need help in the course. As for tips for a prospective student, the one that I will mention specifically for this school would be to definitely consider the mentoring program so that you have someone to ask questions about the school, and so that you can try to acclimate yourself to the college environment here.
