Read MoreI personally really like being at Cal State Long Beach. For the most part, people are really friendly. At the beginning of the semester, people will come sit at your table at breakfast, lunch, or dinner and begin to have a conversation with you. It's really not that hard making friends here. I love my group of friends and living on campus is definitely a plus. My closest groups of friends live on campus and we are always in each others' rooms doing homework or just hanging out. The campus is really large, but it's also really pretty with lots of trees. There's a beach about ten minutes away with a bus that can take you there. If you're worried about transportation, the city buses are free for all Cal State students. The Rec Center(the gym) is amazing and there's tons of different machines to use and work out on. They even have a rock climbing wall. They offer different free exercise classes for students to take.
